Progressives are determined to drag race, gender into everything — even hurricane aid

With the disastrous Hurricane Ian creating chaos and destruction in Florida, you would expect leaders in Washington to leave politics out of the matter.

Throughout American history, presidents have always tried to separate politics and natural disasters. Unfortunately, the current leaders in D.C. are doing the complete opposite. Talking about the distribution of long-term federal aid, Vice President Kamala Harris stated that it should be based on “equity” — meaning race should be factored in.

“We have to address this in a way that is about giving resources based on equity, understanding that we fight for equality, but we also need to fight for equity,” Harris said.

Ian left towns with destroyed buildings, houses and roads, and the hurricane did not care about the race of the people who live in the area. Everyone in Florida was affected by this disaster, and it’s despicable for the Vice President to say race should play a part in who gets how much help.

The areas that took the most damage should receive the most help recovering, and that has nothing to do with race.

Of course, Harris’ racial rhetoric is nothing to be surprised at. Over the last several years, the word “equity” has grown popular, as social justice leaders from the left have infected the schools, corporations, and other important institutions of society.

Equity, in a nutshell, is the premise that historically disadvantaged groups should be given more resources and priority. What has this practice created? Insanity.

The Washington Post published a column last year arguing that math is racist. Harvard University has created segregated graduations for “equity” purposes. And the woke equity crowd says that America is rooted in racism and that standardized testing is biased.

The equity movement has created more racial tension in the country and is driving the U.S. backward by emphasizing race in everything. Equity promotes collectivist rhetoric. And its part of the larger woke trend that’s tied to gender and economics as well.

The word “Latino” has been attacked by woke intellectuals as they try to embed “Latinx” in the language because it’s gender neutral. Minors have been seen at drag shows that should be for adults only. In June, one Dallas show had children giving dancers dollar bills at an event that featured a sign saying: “It’s not gonna lick itself!”

Having Harris, as second in command, promulgating ludicrous rhetoric shows just how far this con job has gotten inside our important institutions — and how far left the Democratic Party has shifted over the last 20 years.

The average American is not obsessed with race or gender identity theory. Americans are tired of hearing such nonsense spread across the US and affecting their lives.

If Democrats continue down this road of wokeness, it will give Republicans the upper hand and big wins in November and hopefully in 2024. Because last time I checked, Republicans are not the ones supporting child genital alteration and segregated graduation ceremonies.
