More than six months after Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce took their relationship public, professional matchmaker Patti Stanger has made a serious claim about the future of their romance.

The Millionaire Matchmaker star and producer discussed several high-profile celebrity relationships during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. She first noted that many celebrities have sought to find romance among other stars like them, a trend that she said often “explodes” on those who try it. But when asked if there is one celebrity who has “done dating right,” Stanger had an easy answer.

“Taylor,” she said simply, referencing the Swift-Kelce romance. The reality TV personality went on to say that she is “really rooting” for the couple to “succeed” and to "get an engagement ring by July.”

“He’s at the top of his game, and she’s at the top of her game, and they’re two separate careers, and I’m just praying for this,” Stanger said of Swift and Kelce. “This is the wedding I want.”

As Stanger indicated, the pop star and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end have both reached new career heights in the last few months. Days before the NFL player secured his third Super Bowl ring when the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers on Feb. 11, the “Cruel Summer” singer set a new Grammy Awards record with her fourth Album of the Year win for her 2022 album Midnights. Swift is now preparing to release her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, on April 19.

Swifties started following the couple’s relationship when Swift began publicly attending Chiefs games last fall. The couple has made several public appearances together since then, with the “Anti-Hero” singer cheering on Kelce’s team at Super Bowl LVIII and Kelce joining her for a few of her international Eras Tour concerts in Australia and Singapore earlier this year. The two were most recently spotted attending the first weekend of Coachella together.

Due to the public nature of the romance, fans have for months speculated about a possible Swift-Kelce engagement. However, rumors about engagement plans have thus far been quashed by people close to them. Back in January, a source close to the couple told Us Weekly that Swift and Kelce “have no plans on getting engaged this summer.” The source went on to say that, as the two had only been dating for a few months by that time, they still had “so much to learn about each other.”
