Priscilla Presley and Riley Keough Pay Tribute to Lisa Marie Presley on What Would've Been Her 56th Birthday

Gone, but never forgotten. Lisa Marie Presley is being honored by her family on what would have been her 56th birthday.

Priscilla Presley, 78, paid tribute to her late daughter on Feb. 1, sharing a black-and-white throwback photo of the duo posed in an embrace. In the photo, Lisa Marie looks every bit the spitting image of her dad, Elvis Presley.

"I miss you 'Yisa,'" Priscilla captioned the post. "You would have been 56 today. Still young at heart and yet an old soul. Mom ♥️."

Lisa Marie's firstborn daughter, Riley Keough, also shared a post on her heavenly birthday. In the shot, Lisa Marie stands in front of a lit-up city skyline waring a simple denim jacket.

"Happy Birthday mama 🫶," Riley, 34, wrote.

The Daisy Jones & The Six star also re-posted an Instagram Story from her younger sister, Finley Lockwood.

"Happy birthday mama," Finley, 14, wrote. "I'm so lucky [you're] my mom. I wouldn't be who I am today without you. I miss you and love you so much."

In addition to Riley and Finley, Lisa Marie is also the mother of Harper Lockwood -- Finley's twin sister -- and the late Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide in 2020 when he was 27 years old.

Lisa Marie died on Jan. 12, 2023 from sequelae of small bowel obstruction. She was 54.

"Listen, I think about her all day, all night. I miss my daughter very, very much, and it was a shock to all of us. But mostly for a mother, you know, who, when they lose their child, a lot is lost of them too," Priscilla told ET at the Primetime Emmy Awards last month, which she attended as Riley's date. "As a parent, we grieve; we can't believe it; we try to understand. You know, the thoughts of my daughter, I know she wasn't that happy. I know that when her son died, that was really when she just didn't want to be here."

Also last month, it was announced that Lisa Marie's memoir, which she had been working on prior to her death, is set to be released on Oct. 15. Riley will serve as a key collaborator on the project, bringing the untitled book to completion.

"I’m so excited to share my mom now, at her most vulnerable and most honest," Riley shared at the time.

The memoir, composed mostly of Lisa Marie's own words, will be supplemented by Keough's memories and insights from those closest to her. Random House emphasizes that this collaboration will offer the "most intimate look at the Presley family to date."

The publisher promises a revealing narrative with "never-before-heard recollections in Lisa Marie’s own voice," providing an unprecedented glimpse into the personal life of the Presley family. The audiobook edition, to be released by Penguin Random House Audio, will be narrated by Riley.
