The Princess of Wales continues showing signs of a healthy recovery following her abdominal surgery last month. For the first time since her operation, she has left Windsor.

The Daily Mail reported that Princess Kate traveled to Sandringham on Friday morning with her husband, Prince William, and their three kids, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, for the half-term holidays. King Charles III is also residing at the royal estate in Norfolk as he recuperates from his first treatment for his cancer diagnosis.

“Catherine is recovering well,” an exclusive source told the Mail. “She was looking forward to a change of scene and will be able to take it easy in Norfolk while the children let off steam with William.”

Kensington Palace announced in a statement last month that Kate had been admitted to the hospital on January 16 for a planned abdominal surgery. Although it’s not clear why the princess needed surgery (the palace is maintaining her privacy on the matter), Bazaar did quick learned that her condition is not cancerous. The palace added that she is unlikely to return to her royal engagements until after Easter, which falls on March 31 this year.

On January 29, the palace released another statement, which said the princess had returned to Windsor’s Adelaide Cottage to continue her recovery. A royal source told Bazaar, “The princess is in good spirits.”

While appointing a subject a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire at an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, Prince William said his wife has received excellent medical care during her recovery. Trish Spruce, a recruiter for the United Kingdom’s National Health Service, posted on LinkedIn that the prince had “said that Catherine had two Filipino nurses looking after her and they were amazing and kind.”
