As Princess Catherine continues to be treated for cancer, she and Prince William are also celebrating their 13th wedding anniversary.

With a never-before-seen photo from their wedding day, William and Catherine shared the black and white image on Instagram with the caption, “13 years ago today.”

On April 29, 2011, the world watched in awe has the beloved William and his college sweetheart Kate Middleton said I do to forever.

Thirteen years later, the couple has welcomed three children into the world and endured the ups and downs of life on the public stage.

As Catherine revealed in March, she was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer that was found after she underwent serious abdominal surgery earlier this year.

In her statement shared on Instagram, the princess called the diagnosis “a huge shock,” adding that “tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”

Catherine continued saying that her and William’s focus has been on Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis as she continues treatment.

“Most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be ok,” she continued.

A month later, while Catherine continues to stay out of the public eye, William has started performing his royal duties again.

The couple hasn’t shared an update on the princess’s cancer since her Instagram video.
