Prince William and Kate Middleton Prove They're Unbothered by New Book Drama

Prince William and Kate Middleton apparently aren't letting the headlines get to them.

As the public continues to spiral over the drama surrounding Omid Scobie's new book Endgame, the Prince and Princess of Wales stepped out for a red carpet in London looking completely unbothered.

While arriving at the Royal Albert Hall for the Royal Variety Performance on Thursday, Nov. 30, William and Kate were asked by reporters about the scandal involving a Dutch translation of the book, which named the two senior royals who were allegedly behind the controversial comments made about Prince Harry's son Archie's skin color.

But in true royal fashion, they kept their composure.

As seen in a video shared to Instagram by chief foreign correspondent for PEOPLE, Simon Perry, William and Kate were asked, "Your Royal Highness, have you got a comment about Omid Scobie's book?" but they just kept walking without even acknowledging the question.

"Did you watch the Piers Morgan show last night, Your Royal Highnesses?" another reporter could be heard asking, referring to Wednesday's episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, during which the TV personality shared the two royal names who were mentioned as an "error" in a Dutch translation of Scobie's book.

In case you need a refresher, Meghan Markle claimed in a 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey that an unnamed person in the royal family had questions about what color her unborn son's skin would be.

But even though Scobie's original English version of the book mentioned the allegations of racially-charged comments coming from a senior royal, no names were specifically mentioned.

However, the version of the book in the Netherlands somehow ended up with two names overtly stated—prompting it to be temporarily pulled from shelves as it goes through a reprinting process.

Despite the Dutch translation being revoked, Morgan repeated the names listed in the book, claiming that the British people had a right to know who the allegations involved, even though he personally doesn't believe the parties are guilty of any racist remarks.

His controversial take on the situation got plenty of people online riled up, including those who felt he was exacerbating the issue by sharing the names of the accused on another platform.
