Prince William Fields Comments About Kate Middleton's Health

Prince William, Prince of Wales

Prince William was busy attending to his royal duties this week while paying a visit to Fistral Beach in Newquay, Cornwall, on Thursday, May 9, where fans made a point to send their best wishes to his wife, Kate Middleton.

Princess Kate is currently receiving "preventative" chemotherapy treatment to battle an undisclosed type of cancer. She hasn't taken part in any royal engagements since December 2023.

But her husband was able to represent the two of them on Thursday, as he arrived for the first day of a two-day trip to Cornwall, which included a stop at Fistral Beach, where he was warmly welcomed by the crowds.

William, 41, received some kind messages for Kate in her absence, including a comment from one person said, "God save the King and best wishes to Kate," as heard in a video obtained by the BBC. As we know, King Charles is also dealing with his own cancer diagnosis, the specifics of which have not been shared publicly.

But despite the of the health concerns plaguing the senior members of the royal family, the Prince of Wales still appeared to be in good spirits during Thursday's outing, as he participated in some beach volleyball and posed with fans for some smiling photos.

William hasn't been accompanied by his wife on a royal engagement for months now, as she was admitted to the hospital back in January to undergo a planned abdominal surgery.

It was during that hospital stay that the princess was diagnosed with cancer, though she didn't publicly share the news until March, following weeks of speculation about her whereabouts and wellbeing.

She is now said to be dealing with her condition privately and with the support of William and their three children.
