Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Exclude Kids Archie and Lilibet From 2023 Holiday Card

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly unveiled their holiday card for this year, and the photo displayed on the festive greeting doesn't include their two children.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who wed in 2018, share son Archie, 4, and daughter Lilibet, 2, but neither of the little ones were displayed on the card, which—according to People—was sent out via email on behalf of their Archewell Foundation. Parade reached out to Archewell and did not immediately hear back

Instead of a family-centric image, the capture is one of the couple from the closing ceremony of the 2023 Invictus Games, which took place in September in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Meghan wore a green strapless floral laser-cut dress, while Harry, for his part, donned all-black with the top of his shirt casually unbuttoned. The duo can be seen smiling and clapping in the shot, which was taken during the moment that the U.S. team walked onto the stage as Bruce Springsteen's hit "Born in the USA" played.

"We wish you a very happy holiday season. Thanks for all the support in 2023!" the virtual card reads. It also includes a link to the couple's annual Archewell Foundation impact report, which features a video highlighting some of their charitable work throughout the past year.

Social media users had conflicting opinions on the holiday photo choice.

Someone expressed disappointment at not getting an updated glimpse at the entire family, lamenting, "No pictures of the kids," while also adding weary-faced emojis to really drive home their feelings. Another fan noted, "That’s not a Christmas card, it’s not even a holiday card."

On the other hand, one X user celebrated the capture, writing, "I knew they would share a picture of Invictus games beautiful." Another chimed in, "This Christmas card from #princeharry & #meghanmarkle says a lot. They’re happy, tanned, enjoying their lives and accomplishments from #thatfamily. Also clapping at the big win for Harry’s court case against the Mirror today. The derangers are loosing their sh!ts. #Phonehacking."

Although missing from the image, the Suits alum did confirm that the parents of two are "enjoying" the season with their tots.

During a red carpet appearance at Variety's Power of Women event in Los Angeles last month, Meghan was asked about her favorite holiday tradition, responding, "Our little ones are little, and we're enjoying every moment of it," in part.
