'The Price Is Right' Gets a Major Makeover: See Pics

When Drew Carey calls for contestants to "come on down" on Season 52 of The Price is Right, the show is going to have a brand-new look.

Due to the sale of CBS' Television City studio complex, which the game show called home since 1972, the series has relocated to new, state-of-the-art facilities in Glendale, Calif.

“In light of Hackman Capital Partners’ plans to undergo a major renovation at Television City, the time has come to move television’s longest running game show, The Price Is Right, into a new home,” Suzanne Lopez, COO of Fremantle, said in a statement back in March.

“While we bid a fond farewell to this cultural landmark, we are excited to say that we will be moving into a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility at Haven Studios. We can’t wait to have our fans ‘Come On Down’ to this new facility when we begin production on the next season this summer.”

But not to worry: While the look will be new, the game will remain the same with favorite's like Plinko, Hole in One (or Two), Punch-a-Bunch and more, and the prizes will as enticing as ever. From the photos, it's clear that there are cars, including a BMW and a Chevy, trips and luggage, kitchen appliances, and services housecleaning or groceries for a year.

Returning along with Carey will be announcer George Gray and models Rachel Reynolds, Manuela Arbeláez, Amber Lancaster, Alexis Gaube, James O’Halloran and Devin Goda.

The Season 52 premiere will feature the game show’s first full studio audience since the COVID-19 shutdown.

Carey took over the hosting duties from Bob Barker in 2007. Barker, who passed away on Aug. 26, had hosted from 1972 to 2007.

The Price is Right airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on CBS.
