Pretty Little Liars original cast member Lucy Hale has teased a possible cameo in the spin-off series Original Sin.

It has been announced that season 2 of Original Sin (subtitled Summer School) will be released on Thursday, May 9, with an Instagram post from the show's official account teasing that "It's gonna be A killer summer". However, the real juice was in the comment section.

"Kinda making me want to go back to school?" wrote Hale, who played student Aria Montgomery in each of the original Pretty Little Liars' seven seasons between 2010 and 2017.

As you'd expect, Pretty Little Liars fans were all over the comment, with just some of the many comments reading: "You can make a guest appearance", "girl... don't play with my heart like that!", "stop playing games with us aria" and "would love to see you as Aria again on my tv screen".

This isn't the first time Hale has teased a potential reprisal of Aria, having admitted she'd be game during an interview with TVLine last year - especially since her character was referenced in the season finale of Original Sin.

"Would I be open to a cameo? Yeah, definitely," she said. "I think that would be fun. I'm so happy that that show is doing well, and I can't wait to see the second season. I love that they're kind of doing different themes per season."
