Trump to make stop first campaign stop in Minnesota next week

Trump will be the keynote speaker at the Minnesota GOP's annual Lincoln Reagan dinner on Friday, May 17, Chairman David Hann wrote in a press release on Monday.

Earlier this month during court proceedings for his hush money trial, Trump asked off May 17 to attend his son Barron's high school graduation.

In March, just one day before Super Tuesday, Trump falsely claimed that he won the state. Prior to the 2020 election, he said if he lost Minnesota, he would not come back. Despite the 77-year-old losing by a seven-point margin, signs point to the state possibly being in play this November.

This will be Trump's first visit to the state since 2020.
