President Biden’s daughter Ashley Biden tests positive for COVID-19, sidelined from Latin America trip with first lady
President Biden’s daughter Ashley Biden has tested positive for COVID-19 on the verge of a Latin America trip with the first lady.
Biden, 40, had been exposed a couple of weeks ago and missed an earlier trip, CNN reported. Now she actually has it, and must skip another.
The 40-year-old activist and social worker was slated to visit Ecuador, Panama and Costa Rica with Jill Biden. She was not considered a close contact to the President and first lady, spokesman Michael LaRosa said, according to The Washington Post.
Earlier this month, she had to miss a trip to Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine, but had to bow out after learning of a COVID exposure, CNN said.
The Latin America trip starts Wednesday afternoon.
