Monday’s results

GIRLS SOCCER

PLEASANT PLAINS 4, ATHENS 0: At Athens, Raelyn Brammer scored the opening goal and Greg Bryan picked up his 750th career win as both a girls and boys soccer coach at Plains.

Grace Sabatka poured in two goals after the break, along with Caroline Willenborg, to lift the Cardinals (20-1, 5-0 Sangamo) to the outright Sangamo Conference title.

CARLINVILLE 2, PANA 0: At Pana, Jordyn Loveless tallied two goals in a South Central Conference win. Jessica Strubbe and Reece Inman each had an assist. Savanna Siglock had one save.

SOFTBALL

BUFFALO TRI-CITY/SANGAMON VALLEY 2, RAYMOND LINCOLNWOOD 1: At Buffalo, Hayli Ferriel knocked in the go-ahead RBI single in the sixth inning en route to an MSM Conference win.

Lexie Patton started the inning with a walk and moved to second base on a Tiffany Farley sacrifice before scoring on Ferriel’s single.

Audrey Cooper scored the other run for the Tornadoes (19-3, 3-0 MSM) on a Patton groundout.

Lily Woodworth earned the win in a complete game with 11 strikeouts. She gave up no earned runs with two hits and two walks.

Tori Elvidge took the loss in six innings with five strikeouts. She gave up two runs on three hits and two walks.

ROCHESTER 10, WILLIAMSVILLE 5: At Rochester, Mylie Deatherage homered and finished with two hits, five RBIs and two runs in the nonconference win.

Eleanor Schudel supplied three hits with an RBI and two runs. Peyton Purves also scored twice on two hits.

Jaelyn Watts tallied the win in a complete game. She gave up five runs on seven hits and four walks with seven strikeouts.

Madison Kloba homered and finished with two hits and three RBIs for the Bullets. Izzy Nowack and Bailey Wherley each had two hits.

CARLINVILLE 4, NORTH MAC 2: At Carlinville, Hallie Gibson shut down the Panthers with eighth strikeouts in a complete-game victory.

She gave up two runs in the seventh and ended with six hits and three walks allowed. Gibson also dished out a hit with a run.

Addison Ruyle belted a two-run home run in the third inning to go up 4-0. Chloe Pope had two hits with an RBI.

Taylor Keirs had a 2-RBI double in the seventh for North Mac.

LINCOLN 3, PLEASANT PLAINS 2: At Lincoln, Morgan Sheley hit the walk-off RBI single in the seventh inning for a nonconference win.

Regan Kutz picked up the win in relief. She threw 1 1/3 innings and gave up one hit and one walk with no strikeouts.
