Prep roundup: Williamston baseball wins Charlotte Invitational

WILLIAMSTON 9, TRAVERSE CITY ST. FRANCIS 1 / WILLIAMSTON 4, CHARLOTTE 0

CHARLOTTE — Richard Cuzydlo struck out seven while allowing just one hit in six-plus innings while helping the Hornets top Charlotte in the championship game of the Charlotte Invitational. Miles Keener had a double and two RBI and Ben Convey had a pair of hits in the title game win for Williamston. Aiden Friess had a double and two RBI and was the winning pitcher against St. Francis, while Convey went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

PORTLAND 4, MASON 3 / PORTLAND 7, MASON 1

Brody Moore went 3-for-6 with four RBI through both games as the Raiders picked up a pair of wins over Mason. Caden Thelen picked up three hits, a double and three RBI and Paul Roberts and Evan Thelen each notched wins for Portland. Maddux Armour finished with two hits and Travis Davis had an RBI and a run scored for the Bulldogs.

OKEMOS 7, KENSTON (OHIO) 6

KENSTON -- Caleb Bonemer picked up a double and an RBI to help the Wolves to a win over Kenston at the PBR Spring Ohio Classic. Ray Smith notched the win on the mound and Nik Greborunis secured the save. Colin Walton added on two RBI for Okemos.

LESLIE 4, CONCORD 3 / SAND CREEK 4, LESLIE 3

Conner Marciniak picked up the win in game one and went 2-for-5 from the plate as the Blackhawks split their Saturday contests.
