Prep roundup: Leslie, Laingsburg softball earn sweeps; Mason baseball takes two from Dansville

SOFTBALL

LESLIE 3, WAVERLY 2 / LESLIE 15, WAVERLY 0

Gabby Waldofsky went a combined 5-for-6 with five runs and two RBI to help the Blackhawks to a doubleheader sweep. Ada Bradford picked up a pair of pitching wins in the circle and drove in two in the second game for Leslie. Maddi Ream added a three-run home and Jalen Fossitt added three RBI in the Game 2 win.

LAINGSBURG 16, FULTON 0 / LAINGSBURG 16, FULTON 1

Addyson Buchin allowed just one hit and struck out 12, while Ashley Bila added three hits, three runs and drew two walks and Peyton Stahr had three hits and three RBI in the opening win for Laingsburg. Buchin had a double and four RBI and Bila had a triple, RBI and three walks in a three-inning win in the second game for the Wolfpack.

CLARE 4, ITHACA 2 / CLARE 14, ITHACA 11

Kennedi Ryan, Faith Fisher and Alyssa McPerson had multiple hits and vy Davenport allowed just one earned run and struck out five in the opening loss for the Yellowjackets. Fisher had three hits, including a home run, and Davenport had two doubles among her three hits in the second game.

PERRY 18, BURTON BENTLEY 3 / PERRY 14, BURTON BENTLEY 3

Jenna O'Bryant went 4-for-4 with six RBI and Maddie Kloeckner was 4-for-4 with four RBI and two runs for Perry in its opening win. In the second game, Grace Spiess was 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs for the Ramblers.

DANSVILLE 15, WEBBERVILLE 0 / DANSVILLE 15, WEBBERVILLE 2

BASEBALL

MASON 2, DANSVILLE 1 / MASON 10, DANSVILLE 3

DANSVILLE — Hunter Brackenwagen pitched six scoreless innings and allowed just one hit and struck out 11 and also scored one of the Bulldogs' two runs in their opening win. West Virginia commit Wyatt Mosley didn't allow a hit and two unearned runs and struck out 10 for Dansville (2-2) in the opener. Wyatt Ball was 2-for-3 and three RBI and Joey Schild drove in a pair of runs for the Bulldogs (4-1) in the second game win.

BURTON BENTLEY 5, PERRY 4

BURTON —Bentley scored a run in the seventh and another in the eighth to rally past Perry. Joey McGraw-Allen had an RBI and a walk, Michael Werner scored two runs and Brady Burns had two hits for Perry.

DETROIT CATHOLIC CENTRAL 12, OKEMOS 10

SOCCER

POTTERVILLE 9, STOCKBRIDGE 1

Kelsey Stiver had five goals and Brenna Vermetti scored twice for the Vikings in their nonleague win. Kendall Lienerth and Kayla Blake each had goals for Potterville.

HOLLY 6, OWOSSO 0

Izzey Newbury made 11 saves for Owosso in its loss.

TENNIS

OVID-ELSIE 7, OWOSSO 1

Ovid-Elsie won three of the four singles flights and swept the doubles flights in its win. Jollee Swender (No. 1), Ellyanna Carman (No. 2) and Kaia Spiess (No. 4) won their singles matches in straight sets for the Marauders.

WAVERLY 5, LESLIE 2

Waverly won the three doubles flights contested and got wins from Truc Nyguyen (No. 3) and Natalie Nguyen (No. 4) singles while picking up the nonleague victory.
