Prep roundup: Lansing Catholic, Leslie, Perry baseball earn league sweeps
BASEBALL
LANSING CATHOLIC 3, EATON RAPIDS 2 / LANSING CATHOLIC 6, EATON RAPIDS 1
Lucas Payne went a combined 4-for-6 with two runs and a RBI and earned the win in game two to lead the Cougars to a CAAC White sweep. Drew Diehl knocked in three runs and Patrick Doyle added two RBI for Lansing Catholic. Braylon Nobach and Joseph Zubal each notched two hits for the Greyhounds.
LESLIE 14, EAST JACKSON 4 / LESLIE 15, EAST JACKSON 0
Conner Marciniak went 3-for-3 with RBI and Jackson Fossitt hit a home run with three RBI in the opener to lead the Blackhawks. Fossitt followed by striking out 11 on the mound and added two hits and an RBI and Marciniak had two hits to help Leslie (6-4-1) complete the sweep.
PERRY 18, POTTERVILLE 4 / PERRY 15, POTTERVILLE 0
Tyger Whitbeck picked up the win in game one and went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI in game two to lead the Ramblers to a CMAC sweep. Brady Burns picked up four RBI and three runs and Michael Werner added three RBI and notched the win in game two for Perry. Austin Thompson went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs for Potterville.
HOLT 7, OKEMOS 6 / OKEMOS 8, HOLT 0
Virginia commit Caleb Bonemer went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in game two as the Wolves split the CAAC Blue twinbill with Holt. Colin Walton notched three hits and Brennan Walton and Ray Smith each grabbed two hits and two RBI for Okemos. Luke Redd picked up the win in game one and Mitch Dubois secured the save for Holt.
LAKE FENTON 13, OWOSSO 1 / LAKE FENTON 6, OWOSSO 1
Blake Binger, Cy Thompson, Austin Blaha and Eden Ackley each notched a hit for the Trojans in a pair of losses to Lake Fenton.

Addyson Buchin went 4-for-4 with a double, home run and six RBI, Bailey Latuszek went 3-for-4 with four runs and Ella Merrell added a home run in the opener. Latuszek had two RBI and Savanna Stirm went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs as the Wolfpack completed a CMAC sweep.

Lexi Hemker went 4-for-4 with a RBI through two games as the Trojans picked up a pair of victories over Lake Fenton. Kylee Nesbit grabbed five RBI and Ady Freeman finished with two RBI for Owosso.

Madison Ralston went 3-for-4 with three doubles and six RBI in game one as the Ramblers picked up two CMAC wins. Aliva Davis picked up the win in game one and had three RBI and Teagen Hallock drove in two for Perry.

Jalen Fossitt picked up three hits and eight RBI in a doubleheader sweep of East Jackson. Ada Bradford and Gabby Waldofsky each finished with three hits in game one and Maddy Ream pitched in three RBI for Leslie.
PEWAMO-WESTPHALIA 13, PORTLAND ST. PATRICK 3 / PEWAMO-WESTPHALIA 9, PORTLAND ST. PATRICK 8
Gracelyn Rockey notched four hits, a double, a home run and four runs scored for the Shamrocks in a pair of defeats to Pewamo-Westphalia. Rylee Scheurer finished with three hits and a double in game two and Tori Sandborn added four hits with three RBI for Portland St. Patrick.
EATON RAPIDS 12, LANSING CATHOLIC 2 / LANSING CATHOLIC 3, EATON RAPIDS 0
Ari Brooks led the Greyhounds with three hits, three RBI and earned the win in game two as the Greyhounds split the CAAC White doubleheader with Lansing Catholic. Mae Schutte notched a home run and Brooke Depeel and Taylor Orta each notched two RBI for Eaton Rapids.

Kaitlyn Dickey finished with five total hits, including a homerun in each game to lead the Bees to a pair of CMAC wins over Fowler. Haylee Awrey picked up both wins on the mound and Aubrie Schaibly tacked on three hits and a double for Bath.

The Redwings picked up three doubles wins and two singles wins to take the nonleague win over Portland.

Mia Severino picked up a singles victory for the Blackhawks in a loss to Hillsdale.
