Prep roundup: Fowler softball splits with Laingsburg, St. Johns baseball records sweep

SOFTBALL

FOWLER 11, LAINGSBURG 6 / LAINGSBURG 6. FOWLER 4

Saige Miller had a pair of home runs while going 3-for-3 with three RBI and four runs and Anna Andros was 2-for-3 with three RBI for Fowler in its opening win. Addyson Buchin had a home run and three RBI to lead Laingsburg. Ashely Bila went 3-for-4 and Buchin had a home run and two RBI to help the Wolfpack earn the CMAC split. Addison Spicer went 3-for-4 to lead Fowler.

OWOSSO 12, ORTONVILLE BRANDON 2 / OWOSSO 5, ORTONVILLE BRANDON 1

Bella Harris went a combined 4-for-7 with five RBI through both games and secured the game two victory in the circle to lead the Trojans to a pair of wins over Ortonville Brandon. Hailee Caswell notched the win in game one and Ady Freeman tacked on four hits for Owosso.

PORTLAND ST. PATRICK 4, BATH 2 / BATH 11, PORTLAND ST. PATRICK 7

Rylee Scheurer and Gracelyn Rockey each picked up two hits and scored a run in game one for the Shamrocks as they split the CMAC doubleheader with Bath. Tori Sandborn picked up the pitching victory and Hannah Weller went 2-for-3 with a RBI for Portland St. Patrick.

EATON RAPIDS 12, HASLETT 0 / EATON RAPIDS 19, HASLETT 9

Ari Brooks led the Greyhounds with a pitching win in game one and three doubles and three RBI in game two as they notched a nonleague sweep. Abi Pratt tallied three hits and four RBI and Riley Cutler picked up three hits and a triple for Eaton Rapids.

ST. JOHNS 4, MARSHALL 0 / ST. JOHNS 14, MARSHALL 4

Brandon Schomisch led the Redwings with four hits, a double and three runs in their nonleague sweep of Marshall. Hunter Grinnell finished with three hits in the second game, while Jordan Huhn had four RBI and Seth Shank notched the game two victory on the mound and added two RBI for St. Johns.

PERRY 6, SARANAC 2 / PERRY 10, SARANAC 4

Joey McGraw-Allen picked up the win on the mound in game one and went 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored to lead the Ramblers to a pair of CMAC victories over Saranac. Cole Sawyer notched five hits and three RBI through both games and Nolan Krupp added on two hits and two RBI for Perry.

LANSING CATHOLIC 6, MASON 5 / MASON 8, LANSING CATHOLIC 6

Travis Davis finished with two hits, a double and two runs in a game two win for the Bulldogs as they split a nonleague doubleheader with Lansing Catholic. Maddox Armour had two RBI, Colton McCaleb tallied three hits and a RBI and Ryan Myers picked up the victory for Mason. Ty Trahey led the Cougars with four RBI in game one and Braden Rabideau finished with two total hits.

OKEMOS 4, DeWITT 3 / DeWITT 7, OKEMOS 3

Nik Greborunis picked up three RBI in game one to help the Wolves split the CAAC Blue doubleheader with DeWitt. Caleb Bonemer hit a solo home run in game two for Okemos. Elliott Larner notched two hits and a RBI and Brandon Beckner tallied two RBI for the Panthers.

GIRLS TENNIS

ST. JOHNS 8, FOWLERVILLE 0

The Redwings swept singles and doubles flights to pick up the CAAC Red win.

EATON RAPIDS 5, LAKEWOOD 3

They Greyhounds swept doubles and notched one singles win to secure the CAAC White victory.

OWOSSO 6, FENTON 2

The Trojans finished with four doubles wins and two singles wins to secure the victory over Fenton.
