Premier League fixtures LIVE: Opening weekend, Christmas matches and full schedules for every club
The Premier League fixtures for the 2023/24 campaign are released this morning, just a few short weeks after the culmination of last term - and indeed while the last internationals are still ongoing.
It’s always a day on the calendar to mark up and begin looking forward to the start of the new season, even though that date remains two months away yet.
The usual weekends football fans quickly mark out - aside from the opening round of fixtures, of course - are the Boxing Day games, when they face their fiercest rivals and who they play across the season run-in and on the final day of the season.
All those and more will be revealed at precisely 9am BST. Follow below on our live blog for the full fixture list.

Chelsea have best opening day record of the traditional ‘Big Six’
09:52 , Jack Rathborn
Chelsea’s outstanding record on opening weekend in the Premier League could be under threat with their home game against Liverpool.
The Blues have the best record of the traditional Big Six in the Premier League’s history, while Man City and Tottenham have historically struggled.
DAZN Bet shows how Chelsea have tallied 21 wins from 31 openers, a win record of 68 percent, with just five defeats.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are traditionally slow starters: 14 wins and 10 losses.
Manchester City have won 53 percent of their first matches in the 26 years they have competed in the Premier League, although with nine wins from their last 10 openers, Pep Guardiola has little to worry about now.
Manchester United have edged arch rivals Liverpool’s opening day record, with the Red Devils posting a 65 percent win percentage, compared to Liverpool’s 61 percent.
Arsenal will look for consistency with just 17 wins of their 31 opening games and nine losses.

The Premier League 2023/24 fixtures have been released and fans can now start to get excited about the new campaign.
One of the first rounds of fixtures supporters will circle in the diary is Boxing Day.
While the round of games either side will form the festive period for each club before a short break for the FA Cup third round.
Here are the three rounds of fixtures for each club around Christmas:

Three minutes!
Worth remembering we have both an Afcon and an Asia Cup during the season this time around. Both run through January and February.

Officially countdown time.
Plenty of “fixture lists” on social media at the moment as is the case every year, with plenty of very poor attempts at fakes out there!
The fixtures are very much in and ready for your eyes in the next few minutes.

How about a reminder of how last season played out on the opening day? It feels a long time ago now..!
It all kicked off at Selhurst Park, where Arsenal signalled their intent for the new campaign, while newly promoted Fulham shocked the previous year’s FA and League Cup winners Liverpool and held them to a draw. Chelsea picked up a win - not something they got used to thereafter - and Man United lost, while Southampton saw a sign of things to come as they were hammered by Spurs.
Full results from 5-7 August, 2022:
Palace 0-2 Arsenal
Fulham 2-2 Liverpool
Bournemouth 2-0 Villa
Leeds 2-1 Wolves
Newcastle 2-0 Forest
Spurs 4-1 Southampton
Everton 0-1 Chelsea
Man United 1-2 Brighton
Leicester 2-2 Brentford
West Ham 0-2 Man City

The Premier League are kindly reminding us it’s not all about fixtures - transfers are still ongoing too.
Our friends at WhoScored have produced a run-down of every club’s biggest need and who they should target this summer, across two parts.
Here’s part one, the ten clubs from Arsenal to Fulham in alphabetical order, and you can read part two from Liverpool to Wolves here.

Women’s World Cup avoids embarrassing TV blackout as BBC, ITV and Fifa strike deal
08:13 , Karl Matchett
All 64 matches in this summer’s Fifa Women’s World Cup will be broadcast live on terrestrial TV in the UK after the BBC and ITV clinched a joint rights deal.
The move, which includes live audio commentary on BBC 5 Live and 5 Sports Extra, comes after Fifa and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) agreed to extend their existing media rights partnership.
The BBC and ITV will share the matches, including England’s Group D clashes against Haiti, Denmark and China, with the exception of the final, which will be broadcast on both BBC One and ITV1.
The tournament, which is jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand, kicks off on July 20 when New Zealand face Norway in Auckland, while England’s first match is against Haiti in Brisbane on July 22.

England internationals latest

We’re looking at domestic events to come, this week in the football world is internationals. Nice little gesture here from Harry Kane, giving gifts to the England squad for helping him break the record for goalscoring.
I couldn't have broken the @England all-time goalscoring record without the support of my team-mates and managers who have helped me along the way. This gift is a massive thank you from me to all those who I've shared a changing room with since my debut. Thank you. 🏴🦁🦁🦁 pic.twitter.com/B1ZHyvilSd

When are the Premier League fixtures released?
08:05 , Karl Matchett
The dust has barely settled on the last Premier League campaign but already attention turns to next season with the 2023/24 fixtures set to be released.
For a long time it appeared like 2022/23 might just be Arsenal’s season, but Mikel Arteta’s young side were unable to hold off the fast finishing Manchester City, who secured a third successive crown as part of their treble of major trophies.
The pair again shape as two of the leading contenders for the crown, though Liverpool and Chelsea will both be looking to bounce back from disappointing campaigns, while Manchester United and Newcastle will hope to further develop into true challengers.
The fixture release will also be an exciting time for Burnley, Sheffield United and, particularly, Luton as the three clubs promoted from the Championship find out their top flight fate.
Here’s everything you need to know.

So we’re just over an hour away from finding out exactly where your, yes your, team will start the season.
Do you want a tough one to get it out of the way early on, perhaps catch the champions unawares after a summer of celebration? Or do you want a comfortable home fixture against a bottom-half club, giving a fair chance of a routine three points to start the campaign with?
Fast starts are often important, but not always entirely telling.
Premier League fixture release day
07:36 , Karl Matchett
Good morning and welcome! Never mind any talk of the last season only just being over and done with, the Premier League want to drag your eyes and minds right back to them.
And today they do that by releasing the fixtures for next term, the 2023/24 campaign.
It all gets underway across the weekend of the 12 August, with one game on the Friday night and every side in action across the following few days.
