Post Malone Shares Honest Opinion of Working With Taylor Swift With Behind-the-Scenes Photo

After playing a pivotal role in the first music video that Taylor Swift released in support of The Tortured Poets Department, Post Malone shared his honest opinion about what working with the pop star was like.

Swift’s 11th studio album dropped on Friday, April 19, just hours before she released the music video for her new song “Fortnight.” The song arrived as the the first track on the surprise double album and included a featured credit for Post Malone.

In addition to his contributions to the song, Post Malone, 28, also appeared alongside Swift, 34, in the “Fortnight” music video, which Swift directed. The video had already amassed more than 25.8 million views by Sun., April 21, just two days after its release.

On Sat., April 20, Post Malone shared a behind-the-scenes photo of himself sitting on a couch next to Swift. The singer-rapper’s hands rested on an object in front of him as he looked directly into the camera. Meanwhile, the “Cruel Summer” singer sat beside him while dressed in a black sweater and jeans, her head resting on one hand.

“It’s once in a lifetime that someone like @taylorswift comes into this world,” the “Rockstar” rapper wrote in his Instagram caption accompanying the photo. “I am floored by your heart and your mind, and I am beyond honored to have been asked to help you with your journey 🥹 I love you so much. Thank you Tay 💕.”

Shortly after releasing the video, Swift explained to her fans on Instagram that nearly “everything in it is a metaphor or a reference to one corner of the album or another.” She also reflected on her own experience working with Post Malone, writing that he “blew me away on set as our tortured tragic hero” before adding that she was “so grateful to him for everything he put into this collaboration.”

Aside from Post Malone, actors Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles also had cameos in the “Fortnight” music video. While reflecting on its creation, Swift called Hawke and Charles the “coolest guys on earth” and said she was “still laughing” from her time spent working with them.
