Post Malone and Morgan Wallen Announce Release of Collaborative Single ‘I Had Some Help’

After debuting their joint single at Stagecoach festival on Sunday (April 28), Post Malone and Morgan Wallen have announced that their duet “I Had Some Help” will officially be released on May 10.

The two performed the song during Wallen’s headlining set at the event, previewing the drinking-buddies anthem for the evening crowd. Malone had already teased a 17-second clip of the track prior to the set, and footage of their music video shoot in Joshua Tree leaked via fan accounts. Those in attendance were able to witness the debut in real time, though viewers at home were unable to watch the livestream as Wallen decided against broadcasting the set.

Fans have been speculating that Malone’s next album could be a turn towards country, and some are already suggesting that “I Had Some Help” could be the first offering from the project. The move would be in line with his recent turn towards the genre. At Stagecoach, he performed a country covers set, and shortly after released a cover of Brad Paisley’s “I’m Gonna Miss Her” via Amazon Music. He performed that song at Stagecoach, and also gave renditions of Tim McGraw’s “Don’t Take the Girl” and Vince Gill’s “One More Last Chance.”

Wallen, meanwhile, is currently on a string of tour dates, including three consecutive shows at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium starting tonight. He’s coming off of an arrest in early April after he threw a chair from the rooftop of a bar in that city. Earlier this morning, he waived the right to appear in court on Friday to face charges including three counts of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and one count of disorderly conduct.
