Popular Youtuber known as Chris Chan arrested in Virginia on incest charge

A YouTube creator known for developing the comic book character Sonichu has been arrested on suspicion of incest.

Christine Chandler, a 39-year-old internet personality who also goes by Chris Chan, was taken into custody in Virginia after authorities “received information involving sex crimes against a family member,” according to a press release issued by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office Monday. She was briefly held at Henrico Regional Jail West Facility before being transferred to Greene County custody.

Prior to the content creator’s arrest, a nine-minute recorded conversation on Discord, an instant messaging and digital distribution platform, between Weston and a friend leaked online, KVIA reported. In it, the vlogger, who has thousands of followers on platforms like YouTube and Twitter, allegedly claims to be having a sexual relationship with her elderly mother, who is reportedly 79.

“There is drama in the air today,” Chandler wrote on Twitter later the same day. “Each and every one of you all are encouraged to withdraw from any and all dramas, gossip, rumors, and whatever else will, and already has, approached your way today.”

A clip shared on the platform Odysee by creator of the Killstream/Ralph Retort, Ethan Ralph, claims to show the moments Chandler was taken into custody at the Regency Inn in Richmond.

“I am compliant, I am good like this. I am Chris Chan Sonichu, your Goddess Blue Heart and I continue to stand strong and I maintain everything with my CWCville, Sonichu and Rosechu and everybody,” Chandler seemingly shouted to Ralph as he was recording.
