“Stranger Things” actor Joseph Quinn will hop from 1980s Indiana to present day Dallas this summer, but not necessarily through the upside down.

Quinn, who played fan-favorite metal head “Eddie Munson” on the popular Netflix series, was confirmed Thursday as the first celebrity guest attending Fan Expo Dallas. The convention will be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas from June 9-11.

Tickets for Fan Expo Dallas are on sale and start at $28 a day or $89 for a weekend pass. VIP packages are also available for fans looking for an expanded experience.

The fan convention has been around North Texas since 2002, and it is the largest pop-culture fan gathering in the state, attracting tens of thousands each year. Fans can roam the merchandise floor where they can check out what vendors and artists are selling to getting in line for photographs with their favorite celebrity.

The popular science fiction Netflix series, set in a small Indiana town in the mid-1980s, returned with its fourth season last summer. The series follows a group of young friends as they battle foes, from monsters to the lurking secret governmental lab.

Quinn’s character, “Eddie,” was introduced in the show’s fourth season, quickly winning fans for his love of “Metallica” and staunch friendship with several key characters on the show. Quinn also appeared in “Game of Thrones”, “Overlord” and the upcoming “A Quiet Place: Day One”.

Quinn is the first guest of many that will be attending Fan Expo Dallas to sign autographs and take pictures with fans. Attendees can already reserve tickets for an autograph from Quinn at a $100, or a photo opp at $110.
