Popeyes Vows To Give Away Free Wings If One Of These Teams Wins The Super Bowl
If your team has already fumbled its way out of the Super Bowl, our deepest apologies. There's always next season. But before you vow not to watch the big game, Popeyes has a finger-licking reason why you should tune in next month.
In what they've described as "the most jaw-dropping promotion in its history," Popeyes just announced that if the Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles, or Buffalo Bills win the Super Bowl, they'll give away free wings to everyone.
Regardless of who you root for, you'll receive a free six-piece order of wings on Fat Tuesday (February 13) with any online or in app purchase at participating restaurants if one of those three teams wins.
"The best combo in the world is football, wings, and a little wager,” said Jeff Klein, Chief Marketing Officer for Popeyes, in a statement. “We are making a bet with Popeyes fans in the U.S. and Canada that if a football team with wings wins it all, then we will give everyone Popeyes new chicken wings to celebrate.”
In addition to quite literally spicing things up during Super Bowl, the offer also serves as a way for Popeyes to celebrate the permanent launch of five new wing flavors.
The medley of flavors includes Ghost Pepper, Sweet ‘N Spicy, Honey BBQ, Roasted Garlic Parmesan, and Signature Hot. And if the Ravens, Eagles, or Bills win Super Bowl, you'll have the chance to try out one of the new flavors for free.
