Poll: Which Broward high school boys’ and girls’ golfers are your Golfers of the Year?

The 2022 high school golf season featured many standout players and performances once again in Broward County.

The Miami Herald recently published its All-Broward Golf team as well as its Golfers and Coaches of the Year.

This week, the Herald is asking you to vote on who you think was the best overall of those players this season.

Below is a look at the players who earned first team honors this season. Take our poll below to cast your vote. The poll will be open until Wednesday, Jan. 11, around 10 p.m. The top boy and girl vote-getters will be declared the winners of the fan vote.

You may vote as often as you like until then.

Here are the candidates:

BOYS

Aiden Arce, American Heritage: Arce, a junior, tied for fourth at the Region 4-2A championships and tied for third at the District 15-2A championship. His team finished runner-up in Class 2A.

Ryan Lopez, Archbishop McCarthy: Lopez, a junior, tied for fourth at the Region 4-2A championships, won the District 16-2A title and team placed fifth at state in Class 2A.

Brett Moore, Archbishop McCarthy: Moore, a junior, tied runner-up at the Region 4-2A championship.

Sohan Patel, American Heritage: Patel, an eighth-grader, finished third at the Class 2A state meet and won the District 15-2A individual title.

Sean Richards, North Broward Prep: Richards, a senior, tied for 10th at the Class 2A state meet and tied for third at the District 15-2A championship.

Alexander Weinberg, Pine Crest: Weinberg, a junior, tied for third at the Region 4-1A championship and her team finished fifth at the 1A state meet.

GIRLS

Eva Almaguer, Archbishop McCarthy: Almaguer, a junior, tied for third at the District 16-2A championship.

Abigail Lee, Sagemont: Lee, a freshman, tied for fourth at the Region 4-1A championship.

Katherine Schaefer, American Heritage: Schaefer, a junior, was the state runner-up in Class 2A, a co-champion at the Region 4-2A championship and won the District 15-2A individual title.

Ariana Silva, Sagemont: Silva, a sophomore, won the Region 4-1A title and was a co-champion in District 15-1A.

Alessandra Tabora, American Heritage: Tabora, a junior, finished ninth at the Class 2A championship, tied for third at the District 15-2A championship and helped the Patriots win the 2A team title.

Camilla Terzoli, North Broward Prep: Terzoli, a senior, placed eighth at the Class 2A championship, fourth at the Region 4-2A championship and was a state individual qualifier.
