Police ID man, woman killed in crash in Fort Pierce

FORT PIERCE – Police on Tuesday identified two people who died following a crash a day earlier that also critically injured two others.

Killed in the incident, which occurred about 1 a.m. Monday at Okeechobee Road and South 35th Street, were Adairah Bowe, 24, of Winter Park, and Expauious Mill, 47, of Fort Pierce, said April Lee, Fort Pierce police spokesperson, on Tuesday.

Lee said Bowe was driving a 2024 Nissan Kicks west on Okeechobee Road. Mill and the two people who sustained critical injuries also were in the Kicks, she said.

The Kicks “clipped” a westbound Nissan Rogue in the right rear before the Kicks struck a number of unspecified things and wound up at a tree, according to Lee.

Lee said speed was a factor in the crash.

A person in the Rogue sustained minor injuries, Lee said. She said the investigation into the crash continues.

Family members of Bowe and Mill could not immediately be reached Tuesday.

Takisha Brianvil, 48, of Fort Pierce, said she knew Bowe through her mother.

“I know she was raised in the church,” Brianvil said. “Her mom was raised in the church.”

She said Bowe had an “angelic voice” and was a “very sweet young lady.”

“She just had one of those ... infectious smiles that just lit up a room,” Brianvil said.
