Two arrested after woman, 37, stabbed in Brighton

A teenager and a woman have been arrested after a woman was stabbed in Brighton.

The 37-year-old victim was found when police were called to a disturbance in Church Place, at its junction with Manor Road, on Saturday at about 18:30 BST.

She was taken to hospital, where her condition has been described as not life threatening or life changing.

A 17-year-old boy from Brighton has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 38-year-old woman on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Det Insp Jenny Pietersen said she could "understand the community’s concern" but said it was "an isolated incident" which posed "no threat to the wider public”.
