With the state playoffs in full swing, there are still many local athletes putting up big numbers as their teams get closer to a state title. Jennifer Toland picked a handful of the top boys' basketball players who stood out for readers to vote on for the Hometeam Player of the Week
Congratulations to Murdock's Hunter Kapp, who registered 3,558 votes (50 percent) to earn the top spot in last week's Hometeam Boys' Basketball Player of the Week poll, edging Auburn's Tyler Kohler (2,967 votes).

The junior scored 28 points in a loss to Bridgewater-Raynham in the Division 1 tournament.
Jack Dadah, Leominster
The junior scored 22 points in a Division 2 tournament win over Marblehead.

Ethan Frisch, Clinton
The junior scored 22 points to lead the Gaels past KIPP Academy in the Division 4 tournament.
Tyrese Holder-Hinds, Northbridge
The senior posted a double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Rams past Southwick-Tolland in a Division 4 tournament game, and he scored 20 points in a loss to Lynn Tech.
Colton Howard, Douglas
The senior scored 16 points to lead the Tigers past Palmer in a Division 5 tournament game.
Patrick Madden, Hopedale
The junior poured in 27 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Blue Raiders to a win over Innovation Academy in the Division 5 tournament.
Ryan Manning, Tyngsborough
The junior sank four 3s and finished with 19 points to lead the Tigers past Greenfield in the Division 4 tournament.
Justin McCafferty, Westborough
The junior posted a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Rangers past East Longmeadow in a Division 2 tournament game.
