Playa Bowls to open newest Central Jersey store in June. Here's where

OLD BRIDGE – Shoppers at the Glenwood Green Shopping Center in the township will soon have a new spot for a scoop.

Playa Bowls, a chain offering acai, pitaya, coconut bowls and smoothies, will open at the center in early June.

The grand opening, which has not yet set a date, will feature discounts, entertainment and giveaways.

Glenwood Green Shopping Center: Target sets opening date for new Old Bridge store

The new Playa Bowls will join retailers like Target, ShopRite, Wawa, Shake Shack, Chipotle and Duck Donuts.

The store is owned by competitive surfer Bobby Howell, who fits right in with the store's beachy aesthetic. Howell also owns Holmdel, Florham Park, Morristown and Whitehouse Station Playa Bowl locations.
