CSX will be doing railroad maintenance and repairs during the month of March that will impact crossings in Chatham and Effingham Counties, according to a press release from Chatham County.

Multiple crossings spanning the two counties will face closures throughout the month that will necessitate rerouting traffic, according to the press release. Signage will be placed to mark detour routes during the closures, which could be subject to change due to weather or unforeseen conditions, the press release said.

Motorists should expect extended travel times and delays on routes with closed crossings and are advised to avoid the closed areas if possible, according to the press release. Here is a list of scheduled closures for crossings in the area.

Berryville Road: Closed March 4 - March 9

Meinhard Road: Closed March 11 - March 16

Bourne Ave: Closing March 20 - March 22

Gulfstream Road: Closing March 25-27
