It's been a busy week for the royals, as they round out 2023's official engagements. There was the annual diplomatic corps reception, The Princess of Wales' visit to the Evelina London children's hospital, and now, a carol service at Westminster Abbey. Naturally, festive dressing was in order, with the host for the evening, Kate Middleton, choosing a luminous winter white suit. Rest assured, her sister, Pippa Middleton also received the memo, opting to wear a red Saloni boucle-tweed for the holiday celebration this year.
The look was subtly colorful, complete with a kimono inspired jacket with lush velvet details and accessorized with black suede pumps and a velvet clutch. Last year, Pippa, and Zara Phillips both wore burgundy to match the Princess of Wales, who wore a midi-cropped Eponine London look with matching suede pumps for the occasion, which struck a note of solidarity within the family.

This year, the support for the Princess of Wales's special service remains strong, though not-color coordinated as it was last year. Royal fashion watchers are also delighted as this week has brought not one, but two Pippa fashion moments as well. The royal-adjacent made an appearance at the 2023 Heart Hero Awards in a forrest green lace midi dress by a Self-Portrait, a designer that is often worn by her older sister to official engagements. Middleton capped off the holiday look with a pair of red pumps.
The carol service at the Abbey will be filmed, and is set to air air as part of a special program on ITV1 and ITVX on Christmas Eve.
