The Pioneer Woman's Fans Lose It After Seeing How She Cuts A Pineapple

Pineapples are hands down a summer favorite, but let's face it, they can be quite the pain to cut up to use in your piña colada, fruit skewers, or other seasonal treats.

Well, lucky for us, Ree Drummond, a.k.a. The Pioneer Woman, recently released a video showing us the proper way to cut a pineapple. And let's just say that we're not the only ones impressed by her knife skills.

"This is how I’ve cut up a pineapple since I was 18 months old. Well, or however old I was when I first cut up a pineapple. I’m sure there’s a more intuitive way to do it but this has worked fine for me for the past twelve decades or so," she wrote in the caption to her video.

In the video, she cuts off the top and bottom of the pineapple before slicing off the rind piece by piece. From there, her pineapple is sliced into smaller portions until cube sized pieces are left.

Following the tutorial, some people have built up enough confidence to say "so long" to pre-cut pineapples from the supermarket.

"Thank you for this because I’ve been on a huge pineapple kick lately but have been buying the pre-cut containers from the store," one person commented.

Others might need a little more coercing.

"This is how I would do it if the fine folks at Publix didn't already do it for me," said another user.

"But why does it feel like cutting pineapples takes FOOOOREEEEVER?!" another fan wrote. "I’ll buy them and let them sit on my counter to rot because i despise cutting them so much!"

Will you be using The Pioneer Woman's pineapple-cutting method?
