Photos: Southside High School Class of 2024 graduates, 'they all have big hearts'

Southside Christian High School assistant principal, Dr. Christopher Emerson, witnessed 200 students in the 2024 Class graduate on Tuesday at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

"They all have big hearts. We have students who look after each other," Emerson said.

"We had one student who was in danger of failing because he wasn't coming to school every day, so we got together as a class and we wrote postcards, and I gathered them all up and we took them to his house to tell him how much we missed him and how much we wanted him to be a part of this graduation, and, he came back," he said, as he wiped a tear from the corner of his eye.

"He came back. So there's nothing this class wouldn't do for each other, nothing they wouldn't lay on the line to graduate and be their best and I'm so proud of them."
