The NFC playoffs are set to get underway on Sunday afternoon.

FOX is set to broadcast the NFC’s first playoff game, with the No. 2 seed Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking on the No. 7 seed Philadelphia Eagles.

Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Erin Andrews will be on the call for this one. It’s supposed to be a bad weather day in Tampa Bay, so things could get interesting.

Of course, FOX and the broadcasting crew will be fully prepared. Few NFL announcers, if any, are as well suited to call a big-time playoff game than Joe Buck.

It’s a football family for Buck, too. The longtime NFL announcer is married to Michelle Beisner-Buck, a fellow reporter.

The happy couple was married in 2014 and welcomed twins into the world in 2018.

Buck met his now-wife through a mutual friend, fellow NFL broadcaster Rich Eisen.

From The Ringer:

“Don’t you want to know who it is?” Eisen asked.

“I started rattling off names,” Beisner said last month. “I was like, ‘Troy Aikman.’ ‘Cris Collinsworth.’ ‘Al Michaels,’ I even said.”

“No,” Eisen said.

“Please don’t say it’s Joe Buck,” Beisner said.

“Well,” Eisen said, “it is Joe Buck and why would you say that?”

Beisner reportedly thought that Buck was somewhat arrogant (some NFL fans might agree). However, the complete opposite was true.

“I mean, the complete and opposite end of the spectrum,” she told The Ringer.

Kickoff between the Buccaneers and the Eagles is set for 1 p.m. E.T.

The game will air on FOX.
