Today is the birthday of New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

The legendary NFL head coach turns 70 years old today. Despite his increasingly advanced age – for an NFL coach at least – he’s still one of, if not the, best in the game right now.

With Belichick’s birthday on hand, NBC Sports Pro Football Talk insider Mike Florio recalled something Kraft told him at NFL league meetings several years ago. Kraft wants Belichick to coach into his 80’s.

“Several years ago at the league meetings, Robert Kraft told me that he wants to see Bill Belichick coach into his 80s. He wants to see him perform at a high level like a Warren Buffett or a Rupert Murdoch well past his 80th birthday — he believes he can,” Florio said on Friday.

Belichick has been supported by many people of his illustrious NFL career. If he wants to keep coaching into his 80’s, he’ll need the support of his longtime girlfriend as well.

The Patriots head coach is dating Linda Holliday.

The couple has been dating for 15 years after reportedly meeting at a night club where Belichick sent Holliday flowers after a meeting.

“Happy Valentine’s Day to the man that still melts my heart and makes me laugh after 15 years! You stole my heart a long time ago! I found love when I found you!” Holliday said earlier this year.

Happy birthday, Bill.
