Colin Kaepernick continues to attempt to land back in the National Football League.
The former NFL quarterback, who last played in 2016 for the San Francisco 49ers, has been working out with wide receivers this offseason, hoping to get a chance.
“In the past, we tried to approach things very quietly behind the scenes — just stayed ready, kept working and had my agent have conversations,” Kaepernick told The New York Times. “But there’s been a persistent question of, ‘Is he ready? Can he still play?’”
Kaepernick is hoping these very public workouts will force an NFL team to take a serious look at him. So far, he’s been linked to teams like the Seahawks and Saints, among other teams.
The former NFL quarterback has a strong support system around him, including his longtime girlfriend, Nessa.

Colin and Nessa, a media personality and television host, have been together since 2014, according to reports.
They’ve been spotted at various events, with Nessa showing her support for Colin’s football career on social media.
