With the 2021-22 NFL season coming to an end, it’s now the offseason for longtime sideline reporter Erin Andrews.

While Andrews admittedly prefers the craziness of the NFL season, the offseason does present her with more time to spend with her “retired” husband, Jarret Stoll.

Stoll, a former Los Angeles Kings hockey player, has “retired” from his playing days, but he’s stayed involved in the game, taking a job with his former team.

“I mean, my husband is retired, but he’s not, he’s working for the Los Angeles Kings. You know, I think he was home for like two weeks before I was just like, ‘hey man you just gotta figure this out because you staying at home right now is not good for you and it’s not good for me.’ And he went to the facility right away and figured out what his next move was going to be. So, yeah, I mean we’re friends with Tom. I said to my husband, ‘is he going to stop eating well? Is he going to have a drink with us every once in a while? What’s going to go on here?” Andrews told The Spun.

Andrews and Stoll married in 2017, though they were dating for several years prior to tying the knot.

Andrews and Stoll were set up by a mutual friend in Michael Strahan. The longtime sideline reporter said no at first, though she eventually was persuaded.

Stoll proposed to Andrews in 2016 and the couple got married in 2017.

The couple doesn’t have children, though Andrews opened up about her IVF experience prior to the start of the NFL season.

“I have to admit, as much as I’m trying to enjoy the last few weeks before the NFL season kicks off, it has been a bit challenging for me,” Andrews wrote earlier this year. “On top of being on a special assignment last week where I was sometimes working up to 14 hours a day, I also had to set aside time for IVF treatment. For those familiar, you know it’s a time-consuming and emotionally draining process. This is my 7th one, and I’ve been going through these treatments since I was 35 years old.”

Andrews added that it can have an effect on her career.

“I work in an industry where I think women feel the need to keep things like this quiet. But no, there are so many other women who maybe put their careers on the back burner because they don’t want to miss out on any opportunities,” she said. “It’s so common that people are starting families late and put so many other aspects of their lives on hold.”
