Bubba Wallace is officially a taken man.
The NASCAR star driver announced on social media this week that he proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Amanda Carter. She said yes.
Wallace, 27, announced the news on Instagram.
“Soooooo yeah…I have no idea why the hell I waited so long!! Here’s to forever babe, love you,” he wrote on Instagram.
Wallace and his fiancee are currently on vacation, enjoying a multi-week break in the NASCAR schedule during the Tokyo Olympics.

Bubba and Amanda have been dating since 2016. The couple has a dog together named Asher.
“We’ve just been really enjoying Asher. He’s been a really good dog, like an extremely good dog. He makes it really hard to leave during the day. But he’s a blast and we’ve just been really enjoying our time together with him,” Wallace told PEOPLE in March. “The pandemic hit and gave us an opportunity for both of us to be home.”
Wallace shared a special message for Carter back on Valentine’s Day.
“Special day for a special woman in my life! The best life partner and the best dog mom (shocked) that we could ask for. Happy Valentine’s Day babe! Love you!” he wrote.
