Phoenix's newest luxury hotel about to open. Here's how much Global Ambassador rooms cost
Guests can now book a room at The Global Ambassador, the new luxury hotel in Phoenix from renowned restaurateur Sam Fox.
The resort, which will open in time for Christmas, now has reservations available on its website for stays from December to August 2024.
The Global Ambassador is a 141-room hotel at 44th Street and Camelback Road that's influenced by Fox's world travels. It is the first Arizona hotel listed under Preferred Hotels & Resorts' highest category for luxury experiences at independent hotels and resorts.
Fox previously announced five restaurants for the resort, including theà, a Mediterranean rooftop restaurant that will overlook Camelback Mountain.

The Global Ambassador will host its first guests on Dec. 6.
How many rooms does The Global Ambassador have?
The Global Ambassador will have 141 rooms:
92 rooms with one king bed.
19 rooms with two queen beds.
30 suites, ranging from 650-square-foot petite suites to one 2,000-square-foot presidential suite. Each suite has one king bed and features like extra living space, a writing desk, bathrooms with a freestanding bathtub and shower, and patio or balcony space.
Several rooms and suites offer views of Camelback Mountain.
Who owns The Global Ambassador?
Sam Fox, a James Beard Award-nominated restaurateur, owns The Global Ambassador under his hospitality management company Author & Edit. The company's website says its properties are originals "created through a global lens and connected to the diverse communities, cities and neighborhoods which they reside."
Fox's portfolio of restaurants in metro Phoenix includes Blanco Tacos + Tequila, Culinary Dropout, Dough Bird, Flower Child, Fly Bye, Olive & Ivy, The Arrogant Butcher, Wildflower and Zinburger. He sold his restaurant company to the Cheesecake Factory in 2019.
The Global Ambassador is the first hotel project for Author & Edit. Its other property is The Twelve Thirty Club, a restaurant and bar in Nashville that Fox worked on with music superstar Justin Timberlake. It opened in 2021.
What celebrities are involved with The Global Ambassador?
Fox collaborated with celebrities on The Global Ambassador, too. Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker, former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald Jr. and country singer Dierks Bentley are involved with the project.
How much will it cost to stay at The Global Ambassador?
Rooms start at $582 per night for a room with one king bed, advertised for stays Sundays through Thursdays from Dec. 6-21.
Rooms get more expensive into the high season. The highest starting room rates The Arizona Republic found were $1,164 per night from April 4-9, coinciding with Phoenix hosting the NCAA Final Four.
