Peyton Manning Recruited Matt Ryan: NFL World Reacts
Peyton Manning is mostly connected to the Denver Broncos these days, but the legendary NFL quarterback still helps out his old franchise, the Indianapolis Colts.
This week, the Colts revealed that Manning played a role in helping Indianapolis trade for Matt Ryan this offseason.
Ryan, who had spent his entire career with Atlanta, is now a part of the Indianapolis franchise.
“He’s been nothing but incredibly helpful to the franchise he loves so much,” Jim Irsay said of Peyton Manning.
As Matt Ryan mentioned after the trade, Peyton Manning had a big role in Colts' recruitment of their new QB. Manning + Irsay talked throughout, and Peyton helped sell Ryan on the move. "He’s been nothing but incredibly helpful to the franchise he loves so much," Irsay said of 18.

Colts fans love to hear it.
“Peyton needs to join the colts front office as a “consultant,'” one fan tweeted.
“Peyton, the man that made Indiana care about pro football,” another fan added.
“there are very few things in life i’ll ever love as much as peyton manning,” one fan added.

Peyton helped lead the Colts to a Super Bowl.
Matt Ryan will now attempt to do the same.
