Pete Rose addresses gambling allegations facing Shohei Ohtani, interpreter Ippei Mizuhara
If you thought Cincinnati native and Reds Hall of Famer Pete Rose wasn't going to share his opinion about gambling allegations involving Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani and Ohtani's longtime friend and interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara, and relate them to his own history with betting on baseball, you were wrong.
In a video from Josh Booty shared on Twitter/X by Zach Gelb, Rose had this to say about his lifetime ban and Ohtani: "Well, back in the '70s and '80s, I wish I'd had an interpreter. I'd be scot-free."

Last week, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel included a joke about Rose and Ohtani in his monologue.
In 2020, Rose told Jim Gray that betting on baseball was the only mistake Rose had ever made.
In 2019, Rose told a podcast that he estimated his lifetime ban from baseball for gambling had cost him $100 million in earnings.
