Pet a friendly goat at Quincy family day this weekend. Need we say more? (OK, free cider)

QUINCY − The Marina Bay Boardwalk in Quincy will host a day of family fun, food, beverages, music and activities for all ages. Harvest Fest will take place rain or shine on Sunday, Nov. 5 from noon to 4 p.m.

Out on the boardwalk, artisans and craft vendors will sell items. The event is presented by the Marina Bay Business Association.

There will be face painting in front of Break Rock Brewing and a friendly goat to pet and play with.

At 1 p.m. in from to the clock tower, pop rock and blues band Gracie Grace and All the Good Boys will perform. Live music will continue until the end of the event at 4 p.m.

Some of the businesses on the boardwalk will have special deals on gift cards and other items. At 12:45 p.m. Capella Yoga, located next to the Reelhouse Restaurant, will offer a family yoga class for children age 4 to 9. Participants must pre-register. The class costs $20 per adult and $5 per child.

Break Rock Brewing will have a special guest when Half Cookie pops up in the brewery at 2 p.m. with cookies and other treats for sale. At 3:30 p.m. DJ Sprino will perform.

Denise Hajjar Boutique will offer free hot chocolate and cider.

Donato's Gelato will have free ice cream for kids throughout the day.

Weather forecast: At the time of publication, the forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the high 50s and low 60s throughout the afternoon.

Where to park: There is plenty of free parking at Squantum Point Park on Victory Road.
