Percy Jackson and the Olympians Assembles Lin-Manuel Miranda, Adam Copeland and More in Full Trailer

The stars have aligned for the young hero at the center of the upcoming Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

In the official trailer, which was released on Thursday, the titular demigod (played by The Adam Project’s Walker Scobell) embarks on a crucial quest to retrieve Zeus’ stolen lightning bolt before war breaks out.

The above sneak peek teases the many familiar faces he’ll encounter along the way, including Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes, Adam Copeland (formerly WWE’s Edge) as Ares and Glynn Turman (Queen Sugar) as the centaur Chiron.

Adapted from Rick Riordan’s bestselling book series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians tells the fantastical story of 12-year-old Percy Jackson, who’s just coming to terms with his divine powers when he is tasked with finding the missing bolt. With help from his friends Grover (Aryan Simhadri) and Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries), Percy must undergo the adventure of a lifetime to restore order to Olympus.

The first two episodes of the eight-episode debut season will arrive on Wednesday, Dec. 20, with new episodes streaming weekly.

The ensemble also includes the late Lance Reddick as Zeus, Megan Mullally as Alecto aka Mrs. Dodds, Toby Stephens as Poseidon, Virginia Kull as Sally Jackson, Jason Mantzoukas as Dionysus aka Mr. D, Jay Duplass as Hades, Glynn Turman as Chiron aka Mr. Brunner, Charlie Bushnell as Luke Castellan, Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue, Jessica Parker Kennedy as Medusa, Olivea Morton as Nancy Bobofit, Suzanne Cryer as Echidna, Timm Sharp as Gabe Ugliano and Timothy Omundson as Hephaestus.

Co-creators and executive producers Riordan and Jon Steinberg (Black Sails, Jericho) wrote the first two episodes, directed by James Bobin (Dora and the Lost City of Gold, Muppets Most Wanted).
