People Are Making Twisted Bacon, and It’s Already Our New Favorite Part of Breakfast

There’s almost nothing better than being awakened in the morning by the aroma of crispy bacon. It doesn’t matter who’s making breakfast— mom, grandma, husband, best friend—all morning bacon is good bacon. In fact, there are so many different ways to cook bacon, and all of them are equally delicious. This salty, crunchy goodness almost tastes better than heaven, especially if you buy the best bacon brand, according to our Test Kitchen.

So, are you ready to add another bacon cooking method to your repertoire? This one’s called twisted bacon—and it’s the best thing that could possibly happen to your morning routine.

How to Make Twisted Bacon

We’re here for recipes that are short, sweet and to the point. Many thanks to TikTok user @lowcarbstateofmind for this one!

It’s honestly super simple. Take a single piece of bacon and twist it in an upwards motion so it resembles a straight line (not wrapped around itself like a piece of sushi). Then, take your pieces of bacon and line them up side-by-side on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Pop them in the oven for around 20 minutes at 350°. Then, when the timer goes off, flip the twists and bake for another 20 minutes …and voila! You’ll have perfect twists of bacon that are great for breakfast, to-go snacks or even a delicious avocado BLT.

Find the best bacon in your state to make your twists even more incredible.

How to Make Twisted Bacon Even BETTER

Bacon is already ridiculously great on its own, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be even better! Sprinkle your bacon with some cayenne pepper if you like a little kick, or brown sugar and maple syrup for sweetness. Don’t forget the apple juice and mustard for a bit of that bacon glaze! However you like your bacon, we hope this method puts a new twist on your morning.
