Pennsylvania Lottery Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million sold in Jonestown

Pennsylvania Lottery retailer in Jonestown sold a winning Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million for the Friday, April 12 drawing, officials said.

BG’s Value Market located on 19 Old Route 22 sold the winning ticket. The ticket matched all five white balls drawn, 1-12-14-18-66, but not the yellow Mega Ball 16, to win $1 million, less applicable withholding.

Pennsylvania Lottery Mega Millions winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes. Winners are not known until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated,

"Winning tickets purchased at a Lottery retailer should immediately be signed on the back," officials said in a release Monday morning. "Online winnings automatically appear in a player’s account after the claim has been processed."

BG’s Value Market will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. Mega Millions is played in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The Mega Millions jackpot rolled to an estimated annuity value of $148 million, or $67.8 million cash, for the next drawing Tuesday, April 16. More than 28,200 other PA Lottery Mega Millions tickets won prizes of various amounts in the drawing.
