PennDOT to replace a railroad crossing on 16th Street in W. Lebanon Twp. starting March 26

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced Tuesday that a contractor is scheduled to replace a railroad crossing on 16th Street in West Lebanon Township.

The crossing is located between Willow Street and Lehman Street at the Lebanon city border, according to PennDOT officials. Weather permitting, work will begin Tuesday, March 26, and be completed Thursday, March 28.

"The crossing will be closed," officials said in a release. "A detour will be in place during the closure."

Traffic heading south from north of the closure should take Lehman Street to Route 72 South (10th Street) to Route 422 to 16th Street. Traffic heading north from south of the closure should take Route 422 to 12th Street to Walnut Street, to Route 72 North (9th Street) to Lehman Street to 16th Street.
