Pekin nursing center to have Easter celebration

The skilled nursing facility Hallmark Healthcare of Pekin will host an early Easter celebration Friday for residents, area children, and families.

According to Hallmark Chief Executive Officer Carol Williams, the facility holds numerous events throughout the year as part of its commitment to engaging with the community. Other activities have included summer picnics, coat and school supply drives, Halloween trunk-or-treats, and holiday light displays with visits from Santa Claus.

“We enjoy hosting these festivities for the Pekin community, and we look forward to welcoming everyone on the day of the event,” Williams said. “It’s a great way for the community to get together, relax and have fun.”

Festivities will include a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny and an old-fashioned Easter egg hunt with prizes hidden in the eggs. The egg hunt will have two age groups: 5 years old and under and 6-10 years old.

The free event will begin at 2 p.m. Friday on Hallmark Healthcare of Pekin’s campus at 2501 Allentown Rd., Pekin.
