Pee-wee Herman sidekick John Paragon has died
The April death of actor John Paragon, best known for playing “Jambi the Genie” on “Pee-wee’s Playhouse” has been confirmed by TMZ.
The gossip site reports that the Riverside Sheriff’s Department found that “Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease with other significant conditions of Chronic Alcohol Abuse,” was the cause of his dying.
Paragon also voiced the character of Pterri the Pterodactyl on the unconventional kids show that ran from 1986 to 1990, starring Paul Rubens. Both men were nominated for an Emmy Award for their work on “Pee-wee’s Playhouse Christmas Special” in 1988.
Many adults may remember Paragon as for his role as Cedric, who along with his partner Bob, played a comedic tough-guy on “Seinfeld.”
