Pedestrian airlifted after being struck by car on Cerrillos

May 4—A car struck and injured a woman in her 20s at the intersection of Cerrillos Road and Siler Road around 11 p.m. Friday night.

The woman appears to have walked in front of a vehicle in the far right lane while crossing Cerrillos, Santa Fe Police Lt. Amanda Montano said Saturday.

The woman was airlifted in stable condition to Albuquerque, said Montano, who did not know the extent of her injuries. The crash closed the intersection for several hours.

The driver of the car involved in the incident stayed on scene and no charges have been filed against them, but police are seeking more information on the crash, Montano said. Witnesses should contact Sgt. James Plummer at 505-955-5687.
