Paul Bettany to Headline Vision Series at Disney+, Set After the Events of WandaVision

More than three years after its debut, WandaVision continues to conjure offshoots.

On the heels of the Kathryn Hahn-led Agatha All Along (finally) getting a Disney+ release date, our sister site Variety is reporting that another WandaVision follow-up series, centered on MCU vet Paul Bettany’s Vision, is being developed by Terry Matalas (Star Trek: Picard).

The new, Bettany-led show is on track for a 2026 release and will take place after the events of WandaVision, Variety reports, as White Vision “presumably explores his new purpose in life.”

WandaVision‘s season finale found Hex Vision (the “husband” that Wanda had created using magic) engaging in a Ship of Theseus-themed philosophical discussion with White Vision (a synthezoid built from the OG’s “corpse”). Hex Vision ultimately restored White Vision’s original data, allowing White Vision to remember his relationship with Wanda and the Mind Stone’s destruction.

“I am Vision,” White Vision stated, before flying off… somewhere… and disappearing for the rest of the WandaVision finale. (Hex Vision meanwhile dematerialized along with the rest of the illusion Wanda had conjured.)

But is White Vision actually the original Vision once again, now that his data has been retrieved?

“I’m sure there will be plentiful opportunities in the future to answer that completely,” WandaVision co-executive producer Mary Livanos told TVLine at the time. “Whether or not [the data update] makes him a full and complete Vision is left unanswered, but it’s probably safe to say that he still has some growing to do.

“We’ll just have to see where he pops up next and what his journey is,” she (presciently!) added.
