DeVante Parker appears to be keeping his No. 11 jersey number as a member of the New England Patriots — despite its previous owner Julian Edelman.

On Wednesday, the newly-signed Pats wideout took to Instagram with a photoshopped picture of himself wearing a No. 11 New England jersey.

“I don’t give a damn if you like it or not,” the caption reads.

The NFL world took to Twitter to react to this news.

Some Pats fans are upset about another player wearing Edelman’s former number.

“F— that.. That number should be RETIRED,” one wrote.

“Love the Parker addition but No. 11 should be retired,” another added.

Others don’t seem to be bothered.

“Good, there’s not enough football numbers to retire everyone,” one wrote.

“#12 should be the only number that’s off limits in my opinion,” another added.

Parker has donned the No. 11 every year since he entered the league as the 14th overall pick in the 2015 draft.

After seven seasons in Miami, the Dolphins traded Parker and a fifth-round pick to the division-rival Patriots in exchange for a 2023 third-rounder.

Do you think Parker should go with No. 11? Or pick a new number for his first season with the Pats?
